Picture this: a half-mile-long shot ski served 1,363 people using 535 skis end to end. That was the 2023 shot ski event. This friendly shot ski competition with Breckenridge continues, and Park City will once again attempt to break a world record for participants taking a shot all at once. Buy Tickets

Experience fall’s magic with a picturesque hike through Deer Valley. With each step, immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and crisp air that make autumn the perfect time to explore the area. Head out on one of these hikes and take in stunning fall foliage and unforgettable vistas.
The Nabob Loop is about a mile long with only 100 feet of elevation gain. It’s a great Deer Valley hike for the whole family. From Silver Lake Village, head out toward the Sterling Express chairlift. The Nabob Loop starts over to the left, slightly downhill from the Silver Lake trailhead, and weaves through a beautiful alpine forest bursting with color.
The Sultan Out and Back hiking trail is six miles long and starts at the Nabob Loop and continues past the Sultan Express chairlift. It leads through trees, across ski runs, and out to a scenic deck that’s perfect for a picnic.
This hike is for the most adventurous and will take you to the top of Deer Valley’s Bald Mountain. It starts at Silver Lake Lodge at the Silver Lake trailhead, just past the Homestake Express chairlift. Ascend through twisting singletrack trails, passing golden aspen groves towards the top of Bald Mountain. From there, continue onto the Ontario Canyon trail through a field of crimson scrub oak into a high-mountain meadow with fall wildflowers, and take a left on the Bowhunter Loop. Complete a clockwise loop before returning the way you came until you reach the lodge.
